Summerland showed up in a big way for the first exhibition game in Jets history.
On Friday, September 4th, the Jets asked fans to bring a food item or make a cash donation to the Summerland Food Bank in place of admission. 465 fans packed the rink, contributing an incredible $1,052 in cash, along with a huge collection of food donations.
After the game, the whole team pitched in to load everything up and deliver it to the food bank.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out, filled the stands and helped support an important organization in our community. This is exactly what we want Jets hockey to be about, bringing people together both on and off the ice.
