The Summerland Jets are being built by the community, and volunteers will play an important role on game nights, at local events and behind the scenes throughout the inaugural season. Opportunities are available for a range of interests, skills and schedules.
Why volunteers matter
As a community-owned team, the Summerland Jets rely on local volunteers to help bring games, events, and programs to life. Their time, skills, and energy are essential to creating a strong experience for players, families, fans, and the wider community.
Game-day roles
Volunteer opportunities include ticket table and admissions, ushering and guest welcome, merchandise sales, 50/50 and raffle support, game-day setup and tear-down, penalty box, timekeeping, score clock, music, and in-game promotions. Volunteers can also support community events, fundraising initiatives, and school or minor hockey activities throughout the season.
Specialized roles
Specialized volunteer opportunities include anthem singer, mascot, broadcaster, play-by-play announcer, PA announcer, photographer, videographer, game-day operations, scorekeeping and timekeeping, and bus driver roles.
Health and wellness support
Health and wellness volunteer opportunities may include athletic therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, sports medicine, mental performance, counselling and mental health support, nutrition, strength and conditioning, yoga and mobility, dental care, and physician support. All roles are subject to team needs and approval.
Community support
