Addison Bradley joins the Summerland Jets as a left-shot centre who brings physicality, energy, and a playmaking edge to the team’s inaugural roster.
Originally from Vernon, B.C., Bradley grew up playing minor hockey in Vernon before finishing his minor hockey career with U18 A. Last season, he made the jump to junior hockey with the Lake Cowichan Kraken of the VIJHL, an experience he describes as a major learning curve that taught him how to adjust, compete, and earn his ice time.
In 42 games with Lake Cowichan, Bradley recorded five goals, two assists, seven points, and 27 penalty minutes. One of his favourite moments from the season came after the winter break, when the Kraken faced the Westshore Wolves with only 12 players in the lineup and came away with a hard-fought win.
Known as “Addie,” Bradley describes himself as an aggressive playmaker who keeps plays alive, takes pride in faceoffs, and likes to wear down opponents through a physical style of play. He brings energy through big hits, blocked shots, and hard penalty-kill minutes, while continuing to focus on defensive-zone coverage and becoming a more complete centre.
For Bradley, Summerland felt like the right fit because it is close to home, connected to the Okanagan community he knows well, and led by a coaching staff he has already heard strong things about. He is excited to be part of a new team in a new league, meet new people, and help build the Jets from the beginning.
Jets fans can expect a physical, hard-working player who brings a good attitude to the rink, looks out for his teammates, and wants to get better every day.
